Sensistan provides immersive and interactive experiences that expand people’s senses through combining technology and interactive art. Installations, performances and services provide a multi-sensory playground for adults and children.

This phantasmagorical space in Goa, designed by enthralling artists, architects, engineers and visionaries from India and the world, invites visitors to explore, while entertaining all 6 senses.

Complemented with DIY prototyping workshops, labs & talks (STEAM), a niche product fair, events & immersive performances and food-tech inspired gastronomy.

Our mission is to provide a unique space for inspiration and learning to meet the demand for tech- and experience-based entertainment in India.

Our vision is to mainstream tech-art, to expand typical entertainment in India, and to be a catalyst for inspiring talent and to develop this nascent industry.

Our philosophy and values are to be inclusive and accessible for all while being  sustainable and strengthening a circle economy.

Tech.art is fun. Tech.art can be more than that. It can open our perspectives, facilitate to engage with others, provide stress relief. Sensistan is designed to create impact for individuals and its ecosystem through social impact in India

Foundation

Foundation provides unique learning to children and students and supports intercultural and artistic exchange.

​

The income from Admissions to Sensistan support creative learning for under-privileged youth in Goa and artistic exchange between International and Indian artists through residencies and workshops.

Shammi Raj Balla

After 14 years of international experience in India, USA and Colombia in implementing small and large scale transformation programs, designing and driving organizational strategy, client relationship management, key account planning, process reengineering and change management, value chain optimization and lean management in finance and technology  sectors across industries from start-ups to global firms, Shammi kick-started his side career as projection mapper and co-founded first an NGO and second  the social enterprise Sensistan.

Stephanie Ludwig

After 12 years of international experience in advising, designing and implementing large-scale humanitarian development projects and policies for the UN and Germany as well as working in the private sector and academia on tech innovations, Steph now creates social impact through setting-up  the unique tech.art social enterprise Sensistan.

Lavanya Manem

​

After starting her own business in 2008 she followed her passion and moved on the education sector as a qualified primary school teacher working over 8 years with children from 3 to 12 years in a creative, resourceful manner with a proven ability to enhance students' performance and personal development. Lavanya now combines her experiences, co-founded Sensistan and works in the role of HR manager. She is also in charge of overseeing the social education programmes for children at Sensistan.
